What happens after you apply to KIPP?
  • Lottery
    Lottery dates vary depending on the city. You will receive information on your school’s lottery process via email and text.
  • Admission Decisions
    Once your child has been accepted to a KIPP school, you must accept the offer online and register your child in the upcoming school year. Don’t wait to register and secure your spot as soon as you can! 

    • For Oakland schools : Accept offer here. Only applications submitted within the On-Time Application Period will be entered into the school’s lottery. All applications submitted after that will automatically go to the school’s waitlist.
  • Waitlisted Applicants
    If there are more applicants than spaces available, the student may be placed on the waitlist. Enrollment is offered to the next student on the waitlist whenever a spot becomes open. Some schools have longer waitlists than others.
