Brandy Woodard is the Chief People Officer at KIPP Northern California, where she spearheads talent acquisition, human resources, leadership development, and organizational culture initiatives. A champion for educational equity, Brandy has spent two decades driving academic and operational excellence.

She began her career in 2006 as a Science and Spanish educator before transitioning into school leadership, serving as an instructional leader, assistant principal, and turn around principal. Since joining KIPP Northern California in 2020 as a Managing Director of Schools, Brandy has coached principals and executives to maximize academic outcomes and cultivate thriving school communities. Beyond her work with KIPP Northern California, Brandy has served as an Executive Leadership Coach for the KIPP Foundation and as the Senior Director of Strategy & Innovation at Sown To Grow.

Brandy holds a B.A. in Spanish Literature and Culture from Xavier University of Louisiana and an M.S. in Science Education from the Illinois Institute of Technology. A Chicago native turned proud Oakland resident, Brandy enjoys weekend hikes in the redwoods and backyard gardening.
