Dr. Autumn Zangrilli is the Deputy Chief Schools Officer at KIPP Northern California, where she leverages over two decades in education to foster inclusive and rigorous academic environments. She began her KIPP career in 2010 at KIPP AMP in Brooklyn, serving as the Dean of Teaching and Learning before completing the prestigious KIPP Miles and Fisher Fellowships. In 2014, she founded KIPP Prize Preparatory Academy, leading the school as principal for a decade and earning the KIPP 6 Award. Prior to her time at KIPP, she taught middle school English in New York City and Rome, Italy.
In her current capacity, Dr. Zangrilli builds on her experience as a School Leader Manager, where she supported school leader development. A 2024 recipient of a Doctorate in Social Justice Leadership—where her research explored student belonging—she centers her work on equity and high-support systems. As Deputy Chief Schools Officer, she oversees school culture, student supports, school leader coaching and development, and regional initiatives related to creating joyful and academically excellent schools.
