Melissa Benitez Lopez is a Bay Area native raised in San Lorenzo. She is a KIPP alum which allows her to understand and better connect with our students and communities. Being a first generation Latina, she knows first hand the struggles many students may face in their time in school and beyond. With her degree in Sociology from UCSC, Melissa would like to become a tool to serve our communities and guide our students to the best of my ability.
