Kristine Naranjo is the School Leader at KIPP San Francisco College Preparatory, where she is committed to building a school grounded in love, nurture, and high expectations. Rooted in the spirit of the phoenix – symbolizing rebirth, resilience, and transformation – she leads with the belief that students and communities can rise, grow, and emerge stronger through challenge and opportunity.

Originally from Northern Wisconsin, Kristine began her career as a Teach For America corps member teaching in East San Jose and later at KIPP San Francisco Bay Academy. She brings extensive experience as a teacher, school leader, and chief of staff, working across schools and nonprofits to improve outcomes for students.

Kristine has led and coached teams in diverse settings—from California and Chicago to a bilingual program in Costa Rica—always centering strong culture, excellent instruction, and meaningful relationships. She holds a Master’s in Education and an MBA in Educational Leadership.

She believes students thrive in environments that combine rigor and joy, where they are deeply known, supported, and challenged. Guided by the idea of renewal and growth, Kristine is passionate about developing educators and partnering with families to build a strong, values-driven community where every student can rise.
