Meet the Arroyo Family

Meet Alina Arroyo and her two daughters, Aylin and Michelle, who attend KIPP Valiant Community Prep in East Palo Alto where they’re learning about self-advocacy, kindness, and courage.

Aylin (college class of ‘36) wants to be a doctor one day. She also wants to be a teacher and teach other kids what she has learned! Michelle (college class of ‘33) loves to read, and wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up.

The girls are not only excited to go to school, but also to bring what they learned home with them. Inspired by her daughters, Alina has decided to go back to school and earn her bachelors degree!

Aylin, Michelle, and over 6,200 of their peers are creating bright futures for our communities and beyond, and we are proud to be a part of that journey.

Join us in building that future. Give to KIPP today!

KIPP Bay Area model focuses on the whole child—coupling rigorous academic learning and college preparation with a parallel emphasis on social emotional learning. Our 15 schools are designed to ensure our students succeed both academically and socially.

You’ve never met two little ones so excited to wake up to go to school! KIPP made that happen for my kids. As a parent that is so important!

Our kids are teaching us! The parents greet one another and support each other, too. I ask for help and also provide help in return. We are a community of love and that includes parents, teachers, and students.
