KIPP Esperanza opened in August 2020 with 105 enrolled 9th graders. KIPP Public Schools Northern California is proposing to purchase the property and operate a high school growing up to 650 students in grades 9-12 over a 4-year period. There were 16 Full Time Employees when the school opened and 44 upon full enrollment. Four additional classrooms (approximately 4,000 square feet) might be added at a later date.

This location has been a school site since 2010. KIPP will occupy the existing structure, and no new permanent structures will be built on the property.

The school will operate from 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM with occasional evening and weekend meetings and sessions. There will be outdoor activities throughout the day.

There will be 52 on-site parking spaces. Student drop off and pick up path of travel is detailed on the site plan that is part of this submittal.
