Local KIPP Region to Debut New Name & Logo in Line with Growth
Oakland, 6/10/20 — On July 1, 2020, the KIPP Bay Area Public Schools 501(c)(3) will change its name to KIPP Public Schools Northern California. As the nonprofit grows to include schools in Stockton, the organization wants its regional name to be representative of all of its communities, as well as reflect its impact throughout Northern California. The nonprofit is also embracing that it is a part of a national network with a proven track record of success.
“We’re excited to open our first school in Stockton in 2021, and we’re updating our name to be inclusive of all of our communities and reflect our organization’s growing impact,” said KIPP spokesperson Maria Krauter.
The organization’s website and social media sites will be updated, as will Regional Support Office employee emails, to reflect the name change. School names, school logos, school colors, and school staff emails will not be affected by the July 1 upcoming shift.
